C E L L PHONES: There is a time and place for cell phones, but that will not be during class. Keep your phones put away or it will be taken up.

ATTENDANCE AND MAKEUP WORK: Being present and prepared is the key to success in any class but if a student is absent, follow school policy for all make-up work. It is the student’s responsibility to turn in missed work, schedule a time to take missed quizzes or tests, and to do it in a timely manner. If you are absent from the class for a school function, please remember these functions are not excuses for not having work done. Extracurricular functions require work to be back in when you return to class.
CLASS RULES: 1. Be on time. 2. Be prepared. 3. Be respectful of authority as well as peers. 4. Respect school and personal property. 5. Comply with all school rules and policies.
CLASS SEQUENCES 1. Verbal warning 2. Call/email home or detention 4. Referral to assistant principal or principal * Serious offenses can, at the teacher’s discretion, result in more severe consequences regardless of previous steps taken. Any infraction of the rules may affect your learning readiness grade. It can also be cause for further action at the teacher’s discretion. I look forward to delving into the rich history of Texas with you!
